Lyric as a Virgo
Sun in Virgo: The child of Virgo is quiet, peaceful and shy. Lyric is very delicate and will be selective about food very early. Once his parents know what he likes, he is easy to please, does not demand too much work, and does what he is asked to. As he grows he starts to show his intelligence and his capacity for details. He has fun discovering things other people usually do not see. He is tidy and neat with his toys. He is very shy with strangers at home; he does not speak, he hides in different places, or he just stands motionless. As he starts to feel comfortable, he releases pressure. He has a complex personality and is so sensitive, he gets hurt very easily. Any challenge, criticism or mockery generates a complex almost immediately. Often he feels insecure or inferior. His parents must help him develop his self-esteem from the start, by demonstrating their love and support repeatedly. One word of praise is not enough, because he may not take it seriously. He is a good friend of his mother and he is always helping with the housework. You do not need to ask him twice to do something

Birth Story
It all started on sunday 8/23 at 7am. I woke up refreshed after a long night's sleep, but felt a little nauseated. I started to get small frequent contractions about 10 min apart but lasting only 20 seconds. I didnt think much of it, and made some breakfast, and headed back to bed. At 8am, right after I lay down, i felt a "pop" and yup, my water had broke. I ran to the bathroom just in time. I called Angelika, my midwife, and she headed over to check me. Still 2cm only, so my mom and I decided to go walk down to the cafe for some hot chocolate and bagels. At around 1, Angelika came back, I decided to try to nap while I still could. I got up at 2ish, and had the baby's dad come over as well as my sister. I guess all the people in my apartment slowed the labor, because i stopped having contractions. My midwife came at 3pm and told everyone but Kenny (baby's dad) to leave while I recieved an enema. WOWZAS! I had the enema at 3:10, waited 20 min, and by 3:45 i was in Active labor. I got checked at 4pm and was 3-4cm. But i was in so much pain i said i wanted to go to Kaiser. Angelika notified L&D and away we went. I had intense contractions the whole way there (4 blocks to be exact hahah)
At Kaiser I was sent to Triage at 5pm, where I moaned all the way through it. I stood on the side of the bed and ordered everyone to apply massive pressure on my lower back. that, and the sound of "ohm" is what got me through my labor. Oh, and I can't forget making the "horselips." At 5:30 I got my own room, and was told i was 6cm. I still wanted the epidural. The pain got so intense, but I was able to stay in control. I got onto hands and knees and moved my hips in circles while i said "owmmmmmmm" and ordered for ice chips, and pressure on my back =)
At 6:15 the anasthesioligist came in and started to prep my back. I think the transition from hands and knees to sitting upright really dropped that baby, because before he could start anything, i started to push. Angelika looked at me and asked if i was pushing, i replied with NO, because i really wanted the epidural. But, Angelika was smarter than that, and knew this baby was coming. So they took the plastic off my back, lay me down and I started pushing while the Dr. called everyone back into the room. After about 4 good pushes, out came baby! Happy Birthday to Lyric Jade Graessle-Ramirez born august 23rd at 6:41pm. He weighed 8lbs 7.4 oz and 21.5 inches long!
